Meant For More

October 19, 2026•5 min read

Picture the life where the hum finally stops.

You wake up on a Tuesday and the day fits you. Not perfect. Just yours. The work uses the part of you that has been sitting on the bench for years. You stop scrolling through other people’s lives at midnight, because you are busy living one that feels like it was cut to your size.

That is what “meant for more” is pointing at. And most people never get there, because they spend twenty years trying to shut the feeling up.

You know the feeling. You hit the goal and it hums anyway. This isn’t it yet. Your life might look fine. Good, even. People tell you to be grateful. So you try. You make the list of everything you have. And the hum keeps going, because it was never about gratitude in the first place.

The feeling is not the problem. Silencing it is.

The world has three names for it. Ego. Delusion. Being ungrateful.

None of them are right. And none of them are your fault. You were handed those names by people who made peace with a smaller life and needed you to do the same.

Here is what the feeling actually is. It is the distance between the life you are living and the capacity you can feel inside you that is not being used.

That is all. Not a flaw. Not a fantasy. A part of you that knows it was built for something, knocking on the wall because it is not doing that thing yet.

Once you see it that way, everything flips. The ache stops being proof that something is wrong with you. It becomes proof that something is in you.

Why it hurts, and why that’s good news

My mentor Kevin Trudeau taught me this, as he learned it inside an old private society that passes these things down. He used a rubber band.

Stretch a rubber band wide and let it go. It never shrinks all the way back to its old size. It stays a little bigger. Forever.

Your dream works the same way. Its job is not to come true by Friday. Its job is to stretch you. The “meant for more” ache is the stretch. It is you being pulled past the size you are right now.

So the feeling is not a malfunction. It is doing exactly what it is built to do. You are supposed to feel it.

The trouble starts when you have nowhere to put it.

What happens when you ignore it

I will be straight with you, because nobody was straight with me.

The feeling does not fade if you stuff it down. It gets louder with age. And it sours. Unused potential turns into a low, steady resentment. You have met people like this. Smart, capable, a little bitter around the edges. They settled, and they never forgave themselves.

For a while, I was becoming one of them.

There is a second trap too. The moment “I’m meant for more” turns into “I should be further along than him,” it goes toxic. There is always someone ahead of you. That fuel never runs out, and it burns you, not them.

The clean version has no one else in the frame. Not “more than them.” Just more than the version of me that’s playing small. That one builds a life instead of a grudge.

The confession

I carried this feeling for decades with no idea what it wanted.

It did not inspire me. It tormented me. I watched other people live the life I was sure was supposed to be mine, and I felt uniquely, painfully behind. I did what most people do. I waited. I told myself I would move once I knew exactly what the “more” was.

The clarity never came from waiting. Not once.

What changed it was finally being shown how I am actually built, and then taking one small step toward it, then another. The torment turned into direction. Same feeling. Different job.

What to do this week

You do not need to know what the “more” is before you move. That is the lie that keeps people stuck for a lifetime. Clarity comes from moving, not from thinking.

So take one small step toward the bigger life this week. Take the class. Start the small version of the big thing. Spend one Saturday morning on the project you keep mentioning. You are not jumping the canyon. You are gathering information about what fits.

Spend a little of that stored-up capacity, and watch the hum change from torment into direction.

There is one thing I have not told you here: how to find out exactly what your “more” is, the specific thing you were built for, so the feeling finally has an address. That is the work we do together.

None of this holds on your own. You take the first step, the old voice talks you back into waiting, and a month later you are humming again. It holds when other people are watching you move and calling it out the second you start playing small.

The group is $27 a month. Walk in, say out loud what you think your “more” is, and let people who feel the same pull hold you to the first step. Read what other members got, and ask them straight out whether it was worth it.
