Three Feet From Gold
See your dream already done.
The house. The business that pays you while you sleep. The person next to you. The Tuesday morning with nowhere you HAVE to be. Stand in it for a second. Feel what it’s like to finally be there.
Now hold that, because you might be a lot closer to it than you think.
You’ve started something big before. You got going. You felt great for a week, maybe two. Then it went quiet, and you stopped. And you told yourself you just aren’t a finisher.
Different project. Same ending. Every time.
That isn’t a flaw in you. You were handed one piece of advice your whole life, and it was the wrong one. TRY HARDER. Dig harder. Want it more.
The man who stopped three feet short
Napoleon Hill tells this story in Think and Grow Rich.
A man named R.U. Darby went west in the gold rush days with his uncle. They staked a claim in Colorado and struck gold. They went home to Williamsburg, Maryland, borrowed money from family and neighbors, bought machinery and shipped it out.
The first car of ore proved they had one of the richest mines in Colorado. A few more cars and the debts would be clear.
Then the vein disappeared.
They drilled and drilled. Nothing. So they QUIT. They sold the machinery to a junk man for a few hundred dollars and took the train home.
The junk man hired a mining engineer. The engineer studied the ground and worked out where the vein had gone.
Three feet from where the Darbys stopped.
The junk man took millions out of that mine.
I took the wrong lesson for fifteen years
I heard that story more times than I can count. Fifteen years in Kevin Trudeau’s circle. I’ve stood in the back of rooms with 500 people in them and heard it told from the stage.
And every time, I took the wrong lesson. I thought it meant dig harder. Never give up.
So I dug harder. On every project. And I still couldn’t finish a plan I wrote myself. I wouldn’t meet my own deadlines and I thought I was a loser.
The junk man didn’t dig harder than the Darbys. He brought in somebody who understood the GROUND.
The Darbys never lacked effort. They lacked a map of what was under their feet.
That’s what finally changed it for me. I found out exactly how I’m built. Where I’m strong, where I run out, and the exact spot where I always stop. My reading told me I have no fire. Fire is the part of you that holds you to a deadline. I have none. Twenty years of calling myself lazy, explained in one afternoon.
Once I knew the ground, I stopped digging in the wrong spot.
It isn’t just me
Peter has done the charts and read the long reports. After his reading he posted this in my group:
“My main shortcoming is finishing cycles. I start a lot but miss out so much in not finishing cycles… It explains me better than all the other analysis I have ever done incl. any Astrology reading.”
Herman lives in Oslo. He read his and set himself one target. Up at 5am, every day, for one week. His reason: so he could “confidently say I went through with something that I didn’t stop midway - this was one of the things it told me to do.”
He wanted to finish ONE thing. Then the next. That’s how trust in yourself gets built.
Ben is not an easy sell. Thirty years in agriculture, five years with his own astrologer, weekly evaluations at work. He put his reading next to all of it. Pretty much all in agreement, he said. Then he wrote: “I rate this a 15/10 and I would recommend this to a friend!”
None of them dug harder. They found out where the gold actually was.
Don’t dig alone either
The Darbys had nobody next to them who could read the ground. Two men and a drill, deciding alone.
Kevin teaches this as a core habit. Join a group connected to a source of power. Napoleon Hill called it the master mind. Every successful person I’ve watched up close had one.
Lorna, one of our members, said it in four words. “I need the accountability.”
So do you. When the vein goes quiet, the room is what keeps you from selling the machinery.
Find your three feet
There is ONE spot where you always stop. It isn’t the same as mine, and it isn’t the same as your friend’s. It’s built into you, and it has been since the day you were born.
Your free reading names it. Ten minutes. It won’t flatter you. Horoscopes flatter you. It will expose you. And set you free.
If it isn’t describing you within a page, close it. You’ve lost ten minutes and nothing else.
Gary ran his and wrote: “This is the most accurate description I’ve ever read of myself, its almost frightening but actually really enlightening!”
You can hear more of them say it out loud, on camera, right here.
Ready to win?
Then come dig with us. The group is a room full of people three feet from gold, digging next to each other. A daily post. A Monday video with the step for the week. A live call with me every Wednesday. I answer every comment myself. Getting in is $27 a month, less than a dollar a day.
You might be closer than you think. Don’t sell the machinery.
The best is yet to come. I’ll see you very soon.
Results vary. What you get depends on you, your effort and your circumstances.
